On March 14 we’ve got some happy Big Orange birthday wishes for men’s golfer Jordan Gumberg as well as former Vols wide receiver Eric Parker!
Gumberg is a freshman who hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was a six-year letterwinner and a four-year team captain at University School of NSU prior to arriving in Knoxville. This season, Gumberg has played in one tournament. shooting 78-77 over two rounds at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Born this day in 1995, Gumberg is 20 years old today.
A native of Shorewood, Illinois, Parker played wide receiver for Tennessee from 1997-2001. During his redshirt sophomore year in 1998, Parker caught 30 passes for 411 yards and a touchdown — all career-highs. He would finish his UT career with 64 catches for 829 yards and three TDs. Following his time at Tennessee, Parker was signed as a free agent by the San Diego Chargers. He played for San Diego until 2007.
